gimp and a weird tga

Hello.

I have an issue opening one specific tga in gimp (and other image viewers). My fellow with access to Windows told that it opens 'out of the box', unfortutetly he can't say if file has some wierdiness or seldom used tga features. xfce thumbler even not recognised it as a valid image file, gimp shows only trasparent rectangle.

Can you check if attached file plays for you? Maybe I have some some missing deps.

Gimp - transparent rectangle
other image tools (Gwenview, Krita, LibreOffice import) - no problem

Perhaps you could use something like imagemagick to convert the file to a different format.  The data may be malformed or it could be intentionally constructed to perform a malicious action such as a buffer overflow depending on the application used to view it.
