Hi Aaditya,
surely you could help me. Recently I updated to openrc 0.18.3-1. All was fine but I have no network interfaces (/dev/ does not contain wlan0 and eth0) and the mouse in X does not run. I experimented the bug previously when I update to newer versions of openrc-core (version moew modern versions of 0.16.4-1) and eudev-openrc (>= 20150507-1) but I downgraded the packages and I blocked update the packages. With the ncurses issue I was obligated to update to the newest version of the packages. So I have this issues.
Can you help me? At least in triaging the bug?
Thanks a lot,

And he suggested me to install netifrc package. I did that, but the same result happens. Now I see the rc logs and no sound cards, wlan0 detected and even the mouse does not work in X. It seems a little more general bug.
Can anyone help me in triaging or solving that?
Thanks,

Awesome simply install `netifrc` and run
rc-update -u
solves the problem.
Incredible

With grsec kernel I experimented the same problems. All is fine with 4.2.3-1
With lts I get:
udev ctx=0x1b0b2f0 path=/lib/modules/4.1.20-2-lts/kernel/usbcore.ko error: No such file or directory

With linux-grsec-4.2.3.201510191935-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz all is fine. It was kernel bug.
