Systemd 227-1 can't boot

I have gnome 3.18 with nvidia proprieraty drivers (340.xx).
Since updating to systemd 227-1 system can't boot. It hangs before gdm login screen and instead of systemd 227-1 it continuous to show systemd 226 loading and it hangs.
When i downgrade to systemd 226 problem goes away and it boots normally.
Maybe i should mention that i gave a try to gnome-software and accidentally did from there the first update to 227. At reboot i didn't check the box where it was saying "reboot and install". I just rebooted. I tried to update again from gnome-software and through pacman but with no luck.

Can't boot and GDM not working are two different things. Which one is it?

Not an pacman/upgrade issue, moving to newbie corner.

Re: Systemd 227-1 can't boot

I'm not sure if it is gdm related. It hangs before gdm's login screen. At the black screen, just after grub's boot option, where at the top left corner it shows systemd's version.
Although system is up to date with systemd 227-1, at that screen i see systemd 226.

Re: Systemd 227-1 can't boot

Try rebuilding your initcpio image with mkinitcpio.

*edit* - maybe i should clarify this. The idea is to rebuild the initcpio with the new systemd version, so this may go something like:
1) downgrade to 226 so you can boot, then boot normally
2) upgrade to 227
3) run mkinitcpio
4) reboot

Re: Systemd 227-1 can't boot

I' m sorry for double posting as it seems.

I tried what branch said and it didn't work.
It seems that there are two solutions at the moment. Either downgrading to 226 or uncomment the WaylandEnable=false line in /etc/gdm/custom.conf
So, i would like to ask if it safe to stay at 226 and if the second solution means that i will not have any wayland support.

I don't think wayland is stable enough currently to use on production.  You probably aren't using wayland anyways right?

Re: Systemd 227-1 can't boot

Probably not. It was too complicated for me to use wayland and as i also read it is not stable enaough.
So, you say it has no difference for me if i disable it and wait for it to be stable and working with nvidia proprieraty?
