Hello all,
I have updated the forums to php 2.0.20. Unfortunately one of the mods has seriously borken something so we are currently running a seriously stripped down version without any advanced mods.
The forums will be up and down throughout the day and I would advise everyone not to post for the time being in case we have to restore the dbase!
best,
dtw

OK - I have now applied the 1st ten patches and all seems to be well. Will try 11 to 20 next.

I have identified the faulty patch - the forum will be down until it can be fixed.
Apologies,

Ok - I can't fix the faulty patch so it has not been applied and nor have the subsequent patches - please be prepared for problems.
The dbase my need to be reverted later - you have been warned!

Hmmm - I don't know what to do. I'm not sure how likely a fix for my problem is within the time I have to apply it. I'm not sure if i should just give up on that patch and re-patch without it. But that means receating a load of patches...

just a note to those of you just reading this -the
tags do not work. Use them without the username (
) and it should work fine.

For some reason, the forums feel quite a bit faster today on my end. Not sure if it's the upgrade making it feel that way, or it's just a good day for internet connections.

probably because everything is stripped!

The extra speed is nice whatever's causing it ... I do miss all those big "mark forums read" buttons, though.

sure we'll sort it in the end...
No news on the fixes. Do you think I have "advertised" the problems enough? Can anyone say " I never knew there was a problem!"?

@dtw upload the clean files (anyway Arch use default theme so no graphic loss) then apply what u can apply one by one (phpBB sucks like hell when it comes to mods it would have been better to use SMF :'( )

Er...thanks for the advice...

Good news for me. Now I got back email notifications for the arch ports forum part.

One new issue is that sometimes the Google advertisment opens in a popup window. When I close it the whole Firefox gets closed. Hm.

Speaking of which, the so-called "relevant" ads in there are currently offering me surgery...
The suggestion box only accepts patches.

It thinks I need behavioral correction... and surgery.

By "one of the mods broke it", do you mean:
A)Modifiers
B)Modelo Especial
C)Moderators

gutted. I removed the patch that was breaking stuff but obviously the bbcode has been broken somewhere. Just have to fix that now too!

paraphrase: quote is screwed
This should be fixed now. Quotes made during broken period will stay broken - edit and save post will update. This problem was actually due to a cock up upstream - idiots
Offline
Ok - I think it should all be fixed now. Fingers crossed. I had to patch upstream issues for mysql5 too. Ignore forum is no longer avialable. Sorry, Dusty :'(
Offline
Ok - all really sorted now. Off to bed for me!
