Incorrect removal of [<str>] in mails for suscribed threads

I have set in my forum profile, that, when a new post is made to a topic which I am suscribed to, I want to get a mail containing the post.

This works fine, but it seems like anything between '[]' is excluded from it, as a simple way of removing tags.
For example I got this mail:

ewaller has replied to the topic 'WLAN connection problems' to which you are subscribed. There may be more new replies, but this is the only notification you will receive until you visit the board again.

The post is located at https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 0#p1576420

The message reads as follows:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Glad it is working. Be sure to edit your first post and change the title be prepending .  We ask that you do it as only your know when it really is solved.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

You can unsubscribe by going to https://bbs.archlinux.org/misc.php?acti … tid=204657

In this case '[SOLVED]' is excluded from the message.

Could the parser possibly be changed to only remove valid BB-tags?

That is interesting.  I'll have to remember that happens in future posts.  That is not an uncommon construct for me to use.
