Annoying linebreak in terminal.
When my line gets filled it doesn't continue to the next line but writes over my prompt(PS1) and it's very annoying and hard to parse. Any ideas what might cause this?

I think this happens when you don't use a monospace font for terminal.

I use monospace but I just noticed that my linebreak is before the end of line. Maybie that's the problem. However, how can I tell the terminal to separate between an x-terminal and the console? I use the console (or text-mode whatever) pretty much so I'd like both to work.
