Hi, I have a problem with starting x after I updated and restarted.
I run openbox without a display manager.
My laptop is : Acer 3820TG.
It has hybrid graphics card solution (the old style) of ATI / Intel.
Both xf86-video- intel/ati are installed and the ati card is automatically disabled on boot.
I know this because when I go to /sys/kernel/debug/vgaswitcheroo it says so there & the anoying ati fan is off.
I have no idea what changed so that xorg would fail. It worked fine before updating.
Here is the relevant output of running startx:
X.Org X Server 1.17.4

I have tried googling the problem, but I don't seem to find any references to that specific error.
All I find is a few threads that try to solve the problem with Nvidia / Intel switchable graphics cards.
Edit:
Ok.
I just tried out booting the laptop with the intel disabled. That resorted with the same failure.
I tried booting with both cards enabled and that fails from before.
But what worked was booting with the discrete gpu disabled. Xorg starts without an issue. ( I have the modified bios intel menu )
So I assume that the ati driver interferes ?
I would like to make it work with the switchable mode. Because when booting windows I get problems.
