[SOLVED]Can't start sddm after 'sudo pacman -Syu'

Today I just performed a full system update. Everything was OK. I have been using plasmas and sddm for a year(not often)
But after I did a reboot, it just displayed something like:
[Failed]Unable to start sddm ...following several things

Then I did Alt+F2 and log in to type 'systemctl status sddm.service'
It says something like:
[Error] ...'core-dump'...
[Error] ...'start-limit'...
sddm failed to start

I tried to 'systemctl start sddm' and failed
I uninstalled sddm and installed lightdm but still failed
I tried startx and failed
I also used 'nvidia-xconfig'

Desperate for help. I just can't find the problem

Sorry my PC is dual-boot and I'm using Windows now.Should I type everything manually according to what I see?(or is there a better way?)

Re: [SOLVED]Can't start sddm after 'sudo pacman -Syu'

Redirect the output of systemctl status to a file, then put it on the Windows drive.

While you're there, see if you can get a backtrace from the core-dump (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Core_dump) (assuming that's what happened). Also, check the xorg log file.

Thanks for your reply. I have solved the problem after checking the xorg log file.
It seems that after upgrading there's something wrong with the nvidia-beta drivers.
I did 'pacman -S nvidia nvidia-utils nvidia-libgl' to replace previous 'nvidia-beta' and after a reboot everything just works fine smile
