Hello everyone,
I opened this topic to report my experience about an issue with the open source AMD Radeon driver in the Linux kernel.
When I boot my Mid 2011 iMac, the kernel starts to load all driver modules, and after it reaches the "radeon" module the screen goes black. The system continues to load in background, but I can't see anything because there's no video signal. The problem appeared for the first time with Linux 4.2.4, no issues with older versions.
You may say: So, downgrade the kernel and wait for a fix. Yes, I did it and all worked perfectly, but today I have to reinstall Arch, and the new installation live has the updated kernel with broken (for me) radeon module.
You can see what happens in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPtH_Z_jLGQ
So, have you ever had a similar trouble? And if yes, how did you resolve it?
Hardware specs:
CPU: Intel i5-2400S
VGA: AMD Radeon HD 6750M
RAM: 4 GB

You can download previous ISOs if you need an older kernel - https://www.archlinux.org/releng/releases/

Thank you, I'm downloading it, but it would be great if there's a way to fix this issue and update the kernel. I'll also wait for more replies or Linux 4.3.
