HD video issues with nvidia driver

Hi,

I post here because I have some issues with HD video on my computer.
I have tried with vlc, but also with kaffeine or the gnome player (I'm on awesome WM).
But with each of them, the video has some lags, and it can slow down my computer a lot.
Here is the output of vlc playing the video (small 20minutes video, ~200M) :

Here is the ffprobe of the video :

I even had once my session killed by vlc '-- Here is the journalctl before I had to hit reset key on my computer :

I have a pretty new computer, and also pretty powerful : 12G RAM, SSD, nvidia geforce gtx 970 with proprietary driver, intel core i5 4460.

So I have no idea why this happens (only with nvidia drivers, though), as the video plays smoothly on vlc on another computer on Ubuntu.

Does someone know how I could fix this ?

Thanks
