Desktop background, and resolution, when connecting to projectors

Hi Arch enthusiasts,

I have a question regarding desktop background when connecting my computer to projectors, and also the screen resolution. When I connect my computer to my schools projector - when I make presentations - it shows this standard image when I enable an extra screen (The standard mouse picture which comes with XFCE4), is it possible to change this image? Secondly, every time I connect it to the projector I have to go into display settings in order to enable it and set the maximum resolution possible. A dream idea would be to set different options for this, so when I connect to certain projectors/screens the screen automatically configure accordingly (From own customized file) and also when it's connected to not-known screens it should automatically use the display and choose the maximum resolution (or a certain resolution). Would this be possible?

Regards
Frederik

No, I don't use XFCE. But I imagine there is some widget that handles it.
