I'm new in the world of Arch..... only six months. I'm a gentooer for ten years so I beleave that I can handle some problems on Linux, but this problem annoying me.
When I update the Kernel to version 4.2.4 the black out problem arise. Searching in the forums I found that it's a common problem even on the install phase.
I tried every thing that any Arch user can post...... and nothing.
The only two ways that avoid the black screen is:
1 - Passing to the kernel a parameter nomodeset, so..... forget X!
2 - Boot as normal.... loging via ssh and execute vbetool dpms on...... whala!!! the screen turns on!
So I beleave it's a problem with the backlight.... but I tried everything, acpi... etc etc.
My computer it's a Laptop MSI U210.
Tell me if you need some logs to help me with this problem.

The problem solved installing the version 4.3.1 from the Testing Repository.
The problem was with version 4.2.4/4.2.5
