[SOLVED] bumblebee issue - [ERROR]Cannot access secondary GPU

Hello, I'm only using arch for couple months now and this is my first post. here goes:

i have nvidia optimus with lenovo s510p. my bios has option for turning off optimus and use intel graphics alone(UMA only) but i'd rather use optimus. i installed bumblebee according to arch wiki bumblebee page. this is the error i'm getting:

optirun glxgears -info
[ 2041.595867] [ERROR]Cannot access secondary GPU - error: [XORG] (EE) systemd-logind: failed to get session: PID 1308 does not belong to any known session

[ 2041.595902] [ERROR]Aborting because fallback start is disabled.

i tried optirun glxspheres64 also, but it's also same as above.

yes, i did.

yes, i tried that in first place. nothing change, i'm still getting the error message.

actually i did make it worked, but after i wipe my linux partitions and install arch from beginning. i can't remember doing anything different, i followed the bumblebee arch wiki page and everything worked like a charm. only thing coming to my mind is the last time --before formatting drives-- when i installed bumblebee and everything it requires, i added myself to group with no issue. but this time when i tried it said something like "group bumblebee doesn't exist" so i manually created it with

$ sudo groupadd bumblebee

and then added myself to bumblebee group. could this be the problem?

Oh! i just remember i don't have a nvidia configuration in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/ as mentioned in https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NV … figuration i have no idea why i skipped that part. it would be nice if i noticed it before removing xorg, gnome and everything and reinstalling, configuring... it's totally my mistake and bumblebee works again. this thread is solved.
