Hi everyone,
I am having issues getting my external monitor working (HDMI connection). I checked some other threads about this issue, but it usually comes down to proprietary drivers not working properly. I just have an Intel Graphics card for which open source support should be fine. The output of
lspci -v is:
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Atom Processor Z36xxx/Z37xxx Series Graphics & Display (rev 0e) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller])

Kernel driver in use: i915

xrandr is (even if I have the monitor connected)

VIRTUAL1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)I should point out that have had the same problem under kubuntu and linux mint since about two month ago.
Even after many hours of googling, I still don't even understand what causes the problem, let alone how to fix it. Any help would be highly appreciated.
Regards and thanks in advance ![]()

Does that laptop have two GPUs and you disabled non-Intel one?

hi, thanks for the fast reply. No I don't have a hybrid graphics system.

dkl, please post Xorg.0.log and dmesg or journalctrl -b .
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky
