I have passed some time to bring OVMF support to Xen, and update to new release 4.5.2 from upstream.
It builds successfully and I get it to work with both a Win7 HVM Gaming VM and an Ubuntu PV UEFI VM (using OVMF).
Before requesting merge with actual Xen AUR package, I think it will be cool if some of you can test it out to ensure stability
I have created 3 different packages:
xen-ovmf-4.5.1-2 : Actual AUR package with OVMF enabled
xen-ovmf-4.5.2-1 : Updated Xen 4.5.2 package with OVMF enabled
xen-efi-4.5.2-1 : Updated Xen 4.5.2 package with OVMF enabled, dependency added for binutils-pep (see below), intended for Xen UEFI boot
PKGBUILD packages are available on my personal website (as tarballs and patches to apply to current AUR package) :
https://www.bullekeup.net/files/arch/pa … ctarballs/
https://www.bullekeup.net/files/arch/pa … n/patches/
If you want to build Xen to boot it with UEFI, use following binutils PKGBUILD with PEP enabled :
