Issues with usb-devices being read

I have an issue with USB devices on my machine, MMC and USB cant be read anymore. The only think to fix it is rebooting the box. I think there is something on the low level system that cause havok and disable the capacity to make USB devices load.

I googled and found similar things going on. ATM I get the following error messages:
error -84 transferring data, sector 0, nr 8, cmd response 0x900, card status 0x0

The card however is completely operation and succesfully being read on other boxes and cameras.

What are the messages in "dmesg" when you connect given device?
Provide us more information. Did those devices work earlier on this system but with another kernel?
