Video: Looking for AST 2400 [ASPEED 2400] support

Hello !

I just installed XFCE on a new box, but the video is horrible. I do not know, if
hw detection is made or used at all, but my screen is limited to 1024x800
[or something this small].

I looked around and found a AST 2400 driver, even for Xorg:
ASPEED on Xorg

lshw tells me:

*-display
     description: VGA compatible controller
     product: ASPEED Graphics Family
     vendor: ASPEED Technology, Inc.
     physical id: 0
     bus info: pci@0000:02:00.0
     version: 30
     width: 32 bits
     clock: 33MHz
     capabilities: pm msi vga_controller bus_master cap_list rom
     configuration: driver=ast latency=0
     resources: irq:16 memory:de000000-deffffff memory:df000000-df01ffff ioport:d000(size=128)

Any ideas are really welcome. The MoBo is a A1SAM-2750F from supermicro
with integrated gpu/vga and their support-cd contains some linux so files, but I do
not know, what to do with them ;-)

Thanks anyway,

Manfred
