UPDATED - xprobe2: command not found

I downloaded the PKGBUILD from the arch user repository, then I did makepkg, so I had the tar.xz file, and now when I do pacman -U (xprobe tar.xz package) it would be successful to install, but still, when I do xprobe2 in terminal, it says COMMAND NOT FOUND! I then re did the pacman -U and it said that xprobe2 -0.3 is up to date, re-installing.

What did I do wrong?

The PKGBUILD isn't correct and creates an empty package.

The PKGBUILD needs fixing.

No, it didn't "fix" anything. It just shifted the brokeness one space to the right. - jasonwryan

Yeah, that's a really bad PKGBUILD. Post a comment and get the maintainer to fix it up. (Although they've already had two years since the last comment to do this...)

Moving to AUR Issues.
