Hello there,
perhaps anybody of you can help me?
I am running a Sony Notebook on Win 8.1 and want to run current Arch Linux within a VirtualBox (fresh updates applied).
But it won't work.
For networking tadaa I've installed dhcpsrv 2.5.1 which is running save and sound for sure (tried with a Debian client).
Albeit, starting the current Arch Linux ISO ends in:
[ OK ] Mounted Temporary Directory.
[ OK ] Mounted Huge Pages File System.
[ OK ] Started Load Kernel Modules.
[ OK ] Started Remount Root and Kernel File Systems.
[ OK ] Started Create list of required sta...ce nodes for the current kernel.
[ OK ] Started Setup Virtual Console.
and then: nothing. For obvious reasons, I cannot share logs or dumps or the like...
Any idea what is wrong here?
Thank you!

Hi !
I am newbie - so, take my statements not as the truth ...
I had a similar problem using VBox v4.2.xx
Then I registered, that this might be in some way related to kernel features.
I updated VBox to 5.0.8 and was able to run the installation.
But the latter for itself, fails at thousends steps.
Best regards,
Manfred
