Hi people, today I navigated on the Arch package repositories under the web and I encountered one issue. IMHO, the repositories are ordered in a particular form that had some steps for navigating than the needed, for example:
http(s)://server.com/[repo]/os/[arch]
http://mirrors.kernel.org/archlinux/core/os/x86_64
You need to navigate to [repo], enter on 'os' (I don't know what this is) and enter to [arch]. We have 3 steps to enter on the folder with the packages.
If we need to go to another (more probable) repository (under the same architecture), we need to go back to 'os' and after to [repo] and next to the server 'root', go to the repository name, enter to 'os' and finally, select the architecture. There are 6 steps.
Else, if we need to navigate on other architecture (less probable), we have to go back to 'os', and then select another architecture. And finally, there are 2 steps.
I suggest to reorder the repository to a simpler and cleaner form (and as some other distributions -as Debian- do):
http(s)://server.com/[arch]/[repo]
http://mirrors.kernel.org/archlinux/x86_64/core
It will simplify the access from the web browsers, all repositories are under one architecture, I compare to the actual form using the same examples as above:
You need to navigate to [arch] and next to [repo]. We have 2 steps to enter on the folder with the packages.
If we need to go to another (most probable) repository (under the same architecture), we need to go back to [arch] and select the repository. The step needed are 2, we saved 4 clics
Else (less probable), if we need to navigate on other architecture, we have to go back to [arch], then to 'root', select another architecture and next go to [repo]. And finally, there are 4 steps.

You don't need to browse the mirrors, just use: https://www.archlinux.org/packages/

I agree that the repo organization could be improved, but why do you browse repos this way and not via pacman?
