Hello,
So I just installed arch on my new laptop (asus zenbook ux303lb) and so far the only problem I am facing is with the nvidia geforce 940M.
What I did is I installed the latest nvidia driver along with the opengl libraries using
pacman -S nvidia nvidia-libgl
I have screenfetch installed so right after I log in I am presented with this (sorry for rudimentary picture)
It seems like the gpu is detected at the beginning, but after a second screenfetch, the GPU line disappears.
Im sure there must be a log somewhere but I don't know where.

I believe that laptop has an onboard Intel graphics as well. If that's the case then you need to read this...

I have the same problem with the M940 on my UX303.
I tried Bumblebee but when it switches to the Nvidia graphic card, the graphic card fan starts spinning at its highest speed and nothing happened. At the end, I need to reboot the system to stop that crazy fan speed and graphic card overheating.
I also tried Optimus to run the xorg session with the Nvidia graphic card but again the same issue I mentioned above.
Graphic card works fine on Windows though.
