Grip using flac encoder problems

It rips the files to .wav, and then deletes them but doesn't actually encode them to flac.

I downloaded flac, and have it set up so encoder executable says /usr/bin/flac

my command line is this

-8 -V -T artist="%a" -T album="%b" -T title="%t" -T date="%y" -T tracknumber="%tn" --replay-gain -o "%2" "%1"

Why will it not encode properly?

Re: Grip using flac encoder problems

can you encode them using flac outside of grip?

Re: Grip using flac encoder problems

I know it's not really helpful to recommend another program, but if you're not completely certain you want to use grip, I'd highly recommend abcde for flac encoding. Plus it could be a good way to diagnose the problem with grip... might just want to see what abcde does.
