Garmin GPS under Arch

I did not see anything in the AUR and googling just found some older answers about using a Garmin GPS under Linux. Does anyone do this? I think being able to save places would be nice but I think updating maps is probably a stretch.

Try gpsd first.

I've got the GPSMap 62. I don't use any software for it, I just connect with USB and copy gpx routes onto the unit. I don't have any official OS maps with mine, so I can't comment on updating those, but I have put OpenStreetMap, etc on the Garmin using the same USB file copy method.
