Per monitor DPI setting?

Is it possible to set DPI on a per monitor basis?  I have a 4k and 2k dual monitor setup and I'm trying to scale up the DPI for the 4k monitor while running the 2k at it's native setting, but I can't get it to work.  If I leave everything native, content on the 4k is too small to work with for extended periods and if I scale things up, then everything is too large on the 2k.  I've read the HighDPI wiki and tried various things, but nothing seems to work.  I run mostly i3, but occasionally  xfce.

Re: Per monitor DPI setting?

The end of this thread has options that go in the "Monitor" section of xorg.conf. So I can only assume that they apply independently.
