how to format a disk which partitions are broken ?
Got a scsi IBM 2.1GB with 3 partitions that must have some wrong partition table.
# cfdisk /dev/sda won't go for it :
"FATAL ERROR: erroneous primary partition2: partition ends after the end of the disk. Press any key to escape" (kind of translated from french output here lol).
fdisk and parted won't do it either.
So how can I format that HDD ?
Allready happened once on a IDE hdd. I used a ubcd to low format the drive if I remember well.
Now I'd like to make that without having to reboot, as the scsi HDD is slave-mounted and that PC is my very running gateway... know how ?
Seeded last month: Arch 50 gig, derivatives 1 gig

Well I rebooted 
as I suddently remembered the SCSI PCI card has some tools & Bingo! there's a "low level" format that went on without issue so far
