I built a new PC for my son, who makes music using LMMS. His old laptop is running Linux Mint.
Before I get too far, here's his music page, for anyone who might be interested in cinematic music: https://www.youtube.com/user/PCHU13
Anyway, he has always had an issue with Ubuntu in that if he just wants an updated package of anything, he would have to wipe and install a new version of Ubuntu. Granted, he has kept his home partition separate, but it is still a pain because he has to set up his work environment again.
I thought it would be a good idea to put him on Arch to eliminate this problem.
The PC is working great, except for one major issue.
I cannot seem to get VeSTige to show in LMMS to same my life!
When LMMS installs, it shows experimental VST support and looks as though it should work, but when he launches the program, there is no VeSTige showing in the plugins.
Help me salvage this almost perfect Christmas gift!
Thanks
