Getting Firefox to Start At Specific Screen Location, XFCE4

Does anyone know how to get Firefox to start at a specific screen location when running XFCE4.2? Right now, everytime I start it, it locates itself at the top left of my screen - I want it in the middle. I have tried the "-geometry" type options, but it seems to ignore these. Is there any other way to force it to start at a specifc (x,y) co-ordinate on the screen? It is annoying to always have to drag it into position after starting it. Thanks!

Re: Getting Firefox to Start At Specific Screen Location, XFCE4

I believe that the positioning is based on the size of the window...that's why smaller things like terminals will always opened centered, but it tries to be smart and open bigger windows where there is the most space (usually one of the corners).

I don't know how to force just Firefox to open in the same place, but I know you can adjust the sensitivity of the window sizes that will trigger the "smart" positioning...it's somewhere in the settings panel, but I'm not at home so I can't track down the exact location for you.  Hope that helps out some...

There is a extension for firefox, called "sessionsaver". It does exactly what you want smile.

Thanks all, I will check into both suggestions and see if I can resolve this! Thanks again.

sessionsaver works like a charm. If there would only be a version for thunderbird.
