Hi Guys,
Im using Chromium with an A10 Richland APU with Kernel 4.2 and Mesa 11.1. But the bug still here for many months.
After a cold Chromium start Youtube runs smoothly, but after a few minutes its starting to drop frames.
Normal CPU load is about 40% without dropped frames, the video runs smoothly and there is process called
chromium --type=gpu-process about 6% of CPU load.
When it starts to dropping the frames(up to 75%!), the CPU load reaches about 50-55%, this time the browser is noticeable slow. And that gpu process is about 15-20% of CPU usage. When I kill this process, everything is back on normal. No more drops, the process starts again with a low(5-6%) CPU utilization.
Render blacklist is disabled.
Complete process name is:
/usr/lib/chromium/chromium --type=gpu-process --channel=12488.62.1676682554 --supports-dual-gpus=false --gpu-driver-bug-workarounds=2,3,16,28,41,45,57 --disable-accelerated-video-decode --gpu-vendor-id=0x1002 --gpu-device-id=0x990c --gpu-driver-vendor=Mesa --gpu-driver-version=11.0.6 --v8-natives-passed-by-fd --v8-snapshot-passed-by-fd
