I have a strange problem when i tried to upgrade to the newest kernel 4.3.3-2. When I boot it the computer hangs when trying to start gdm it varies when it stops but now it does it at starting account services. When it does that I can change to another TTY and there log in. Now the weird problems start if I type uname -r I get the output 4.2.5-1-ARCH even I know that I have upgraded the kernel. With this problem many modules wont load so I don’t have internet, neither Wi-Fi or Ethernet and I cant mount fat32 usb memories so I cant get the logs over to my windows PC. If I try to load the modules manually I get the error.
Modprobe: FATAL: Module rt2800pci not found in directory /lib/modules/4.2.5-1-ARCHand that isnt strange for in there its only files and folders for the new kernel named 4.3.3-2-ARCH and extramodules-4.3-ARCH.
I have kind of solved this problem if I go to /var/cache/pacman/pkg and downgrades to the old kernel all works. The strange part is if I try to install 4.3..3-2 it says it is installed and it reinstalls this. Anone here has any ideas what I can do to fix this or any logs you guys need to see and I will try to get them.

The boot partition needs to be mounted when upgrading the kernel.

Thank you that worked perfectly. Strange I haven't mounted it.
