Libreoffice Base didn't find sdbc driver for sdbc:embedded:hsqldb

I installed libreoffice fresh from the main repositories and I'm on 64 bit system.

I created a test database with Base but whenever I try to build a table or form it says : The connection to the external data source could not be established. No SDBC driver was found for the URL ‘sdbc:embedded:hsqldb’

I see in this post http://en.libreofficeforum.org/node/8385 that the solution is to install some package but that's for linux mint not arch, I didn't find any similar package not in the repositories nor in the AUR.

the wiki page on libreoffice doesn't say anything about this.

So what to do ?

Re: Libreoffice Base didn't find sdbc driver for sdbc:embedded:hsqldb

I had the very same problem.

In order to solve install (if you haven't already) a Java runtime like jre7-openjdk or jre8-openjdk, then open LibreOffice Base and go to
Tools -> Options -> Advanced

Enable "Use a Java runtime environment" and you're done.
