Wayland and sdlmame (or RetroArch).

Is sdlmame and wayland supposed to work without having to use Xwayland?

When i try to run it on weston i get a coredump.

I have the videodriver set to wayland. (SDL_VIDEODRIVER=wayland)

Update:

Tested stable RetroArch which seems much better than sdlmame and it also uses Xwayland. If anyone managed to get RetroArch on wayland i would appreciate some tips or instructions on how he did it.
