Dota 2 no mic support without pulseaudio?

Hey ArchGamers,

I am playing Dota 2 on my new arch system, works amazing! 120 fps constant Almost better then my windows machine!

Only gripe is that I cant get the mic to work with ALSA. Do I need to install pulseaudio to get the mic to work on dota 2?
