localtime (AUR) is a small daemon that runs in the background updating the timezone based on the current location (as determined by GeoClue). It's fire-and-forget, desktop environment agnostic, and runs with almost no privileges.
To start and run on boot, run:
# systemctl enable localtime
# systemctl start localtime
