xmobar slow on wake up

Most of the time when i wake up my laptop, xmobar starts being very slow. The time updates once every 8~10 seconds and the data shown (up/down on wireless, battery percent as an example) stops updating itself as well.

It only happens when the laptop wakes up. Maybe it has something to do with cpu scalling?

Restarting xmobar works but i have to kill the process and restart it again which is a pain to do manually (i start it in .xinitrc in the background). Maybe it's possible to simply run a script on wake to restart it everytime but i feel like this is cheating tongue.

Thanks.

Re: xmobar slow on wake up

Works fine for me, I tried closing the lid. Time gets updated every second so does the wireless usage.

Re: xmobar slow on wake up

Here is a screenshot of the issue. I run the date command multiple times to prove that xmobar fails to update itself.

I still don't know why it fails to carry on updating itself by itself. I could kill xmobar once again but this is a solution i would like not to use anymore.
