Hello,
I'm on i5 6600 with asrock z170 Extreme 4 (UEFI) with uptodate Arch system. From Arch when I put pc in sleep, wake up with keyboard of mouse is working but when I shutdown the computer from arch I cannot power it on again with keyboard or mouse.
If I shutdown the computer with case power button when in GRUB, I can power it on with keyboard and mouse. So there must be some kind of a "problem thing" in Arch. Maybe it doesn't put the system in correct state when doing shutdown? I have tried turning it of through Plasma GUI and from terminal with "poweroff" "shutdown -h now" and "shutdown -p now" but no success on turning it back on with kb or mouse, just with power button.
On old motherboard Asrcok p55 Extreme 4 (non UEFI, BIOS only) with i5 750, it worked, I could turn on the pc from shutdown with pressing any key on my KB.
The migration to new system was easy, I just switched components, plugged in the SSD and booted, all good.
But could this be because my GRUB and ARCH was installed in BIOS mode and now because the new MB is UEFI? Power on with USB kb is not working because UEFI is running with legacy mode? Should I switch GRUB to UEFI aware? Or this doesn't matter and I need to wait for kernel updates to include chipset features?

I think it's an issue in the BIOS, regarding to supply power while the computer is off.
Then check whether there're some BIOS upgrade available.

I have upgraded to latest one. But power on with KB and mouse works if I shut down the pc with power button on case during GRUB screen so maybe there is an issue in kernel and new chipset?
Btw I have various states in UEFI SETUP, C3, C4, C6 and Deep sleep and also some enhanced states for pci, memory, disk etc. I have changed C3 from Auto to Enabled, and left default AUTO on C4 and C6. Deep sleep is turned off (default) and enhanced states are also OFF. Fast boot is OFF. Legacy USB must be on because I cannot do anything in GRUB if I turn off legacy. Maybe I should turn off legacy USB and change prio to grub + efibootmanager? I am not using GTP but msdos on my installation so that would take some work to it...

Have you tried a different distro or OS ?
Perhaps there could be an option to save the state onto ESP. Even your partitioning is a msdos, you may enable UEFI booting and possibly just use efiboomgr to write the entries.

I had windows 10 in dual boot, but I was on prior motherboard. Now I switched MB and windows pops the error uneccessable storage device... Probably should do a reinstall but it's going to be a mess, motherboard is UEFI, MS bootmanager, efibootmanager... It s gonna take too much time, repartitioning, moving data... I could try a live cd of another distro though... Btw CSM is enabled in UEFI setup, that's some compatibility moduile for running legacy. If i switch that off, the system is in pure UEFI mode I presume because I don't see GRUB screen, the boot just reenters UEFI setup screen...
