Hello guys, I am running out of ideas. Maybe you can give me some much needed advice.
Today my bought a Docking Station (Mini Dock Series 3) for my Thinkpad T410. So when I dock my Laptop, he just gives me a black screen on my external display.
So i run xrandr:
Screen 0: minimum 8 x 8, current 2880 x 933, maximum 32767 x 32767
LVDS1 connected primary 1440x900+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 303mm x 189mm
1440x900 60.04*+ 50.00
1280x800 60.00
1024x768 60.00
800x600 60.32 56.25
720x450 60.00
640x480 59.94
HDMI3 connected 1440x900+1440+33 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 521mm x 293mm
1920x1080 60.00 + 50.00 59.94
1600x1200 60.00
1680x1050 59.88
1280x1024 60.02
1440x900 59.90*
1280x960 60.00
1280x800 59.91
1280x720 60.00 50.00 59.94
1024x768 60.00
800x600 60.32 56.25
720x576 50.00
720x480 60.00 59.94
640x480 60.00 59.94 So it looks like, the display is recognized by the system. But there is just a black screen.
Changing the display output manually with Xrandr as described in Xrandr or Multihead didn't work for me either.
I am using an Intel Grafik card
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Core Processor Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 02)If I connect the external monitor directly to my laptop, it works.
Just tell me if I missed to give you some important information
Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure if it'll help, but this page has some advice about using docks for thinkpads.
