motion not running when using systemd service file.

hi,
I am trying to get motion to run when I boot my computer here is the status of the .service file.

● motion.service - Motion daemon
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/motion.service; enabled; vendor preset: disabled)
Active: active (running) since Sat 2016-01-16 09:28:14 CST; 43s ago
  Process: 205 ExecStart=/usr/bin/motion (code=exited, status=0/SUCCESS)
 Main PID: 222 (motion)
    Tasks: 3 (limit: 512)
   CGroup: /system.slice/motion.service
           └─222 /usr/bin/motion

Warning: Journal has been rotated since unit was started. Log output is incomplete or unavailable.

I have built Mr Daves fork of motion. I did this because of lack of RTSP support and the fact that I was having this problem with the service file before. Although it was just saying inactive/dead before.

motion will start if I do run it as root. I also saw this bug report.

https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/31642

I did make sure that the file motion.conf which is

D /var/run/motion 0755 root root

although I am not entirely sure what that file does.

edit: I also want to apologize if this is the wrong forum for this topic.

I love computers, networking and Arch Linux. Sometimes I might ask a stupid question, but please have grace with me like I would with you.
