Re: mpd error [resolved]

Hi,

I'm experiencing similar problems after updating yesterday.

When I start a movie in vlc, sound works for a few seconds then breaks completely.
The error message is the same:

 pulseaudio[572]: E: [alsa-sink-USB Audio] alsa-sink.c: ALSA woke us up to write new data to the device, but there was actually nothing to write.
Dez 11 14:52:34 pulseaudio[572]: E: [alsa-sink-USB Audio] alsa-sink.c: Most likely this is a bug in the ALSA driver 'snd_usb_audio'. Please report this issue to the ALSA developers.
Dez 11 14:52:34 pulseaudio[572]: E: [alsa-sink-USB Audio] alsa-sink.c: We were woken up with POLLOUT set -- however a subsequent snd_pcm_avail() returned 0 or another value < min_avail.

What did you change exactly? I didn't make any changes, it suddenly just didn't work.

Kernel is 4.2.5-1-ARCH.

Kind regards,
Martin smile

Re: mpd error [resolved]

Sorry, i am afraid i can't help you with this. I have the feeling i only understand Linux at a very basic level, where you able to resolve the issue? My issue was purely in mpd.conf despite the misleading error. If you think a updated package broken something, you can always downgrade, to determine that was indeed the problem.
