So there is a nice little note-taking app called Xournal. The author of this application, written in C, has a nice feature that disables the Touchscreen device when a Pen Stylus is detected.
The stylus' drivers must support Presence Detection, as stated in the readme. For example, xf86-xinput-wacom supports such a feature (and i am using it!).
XNoHands
The author extracted this little feature (a single .c file) and packaged it for a simple manual install and released it, calling it XNoHands:

The README file details the make install process, as well as specific directions for it to work.
SourceForge
I originally tried to package this up, as my first package; but, I was unable to figure out how to download the package file from Sourceforge - they have some type of browser referral linking/monitoring and didn't allow me to direct download.
Perhaps someone more familiar with SourceForge could package this up with the trick to get around SF download locations.
Feel free to create the package. Or, to provide some help on how to download the package directly from SF with a stable link (their mirror URLs are not a good idea to hardcode from what I read).
Thanks!
