Hi community!
I hope you can help me. I installed arch recently and all went well, except that the volume keys (mute, volume up, volume down, mute mic) are not working. So I searched by Google and read the wiki, but had no success to get them working. I tried the following:
xevshowkey --scancodesxbindkeys -kacpi_listenBut none of those commands showed any reaction when I pressed the keys. For other keys or commands I got an output.
So I hope someone has an idea how to make them work ![]()
Thank you in advance!
Best regards

Check your firmware ("BIOS") options for anything related to the multimedia keys, sometimes they can be enabled from there.

For me the volume keys work out of the box, even though xev does not recognize them either. I can access them as XF86AudioLowerVolume, XF86AudioRaiseVolume and XF86AudioMute, respectively.
I don't know what WM you are using, but in i3 I simply put a keybind with these keys to call amixer. When I was still using KDE, the keys were working without any configuration.
EDIT: However, showkey recognizes the keys and shows them as 113, 114 and 115.
