logind IdleActivity suspends even if I'm very active on the keyboard

Hello folks

I've got IdleAction and IdleActionSec configured in logind.conf so that I suspend after 2min. However, no activity that I do seems to count as activity. My machine just suspends every 2min no matter what I'm doing or how furiously I'm typing. How do I get my activity to count as non-idle?

Thanks

Don't do that: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Fo … mpty_posts

What is in your logs? Paste you conf files...

Not a Sysadmin issue, moving to NC.

I've had similar issues on one of my computers. While not an ideal solution, using xautolock rather than the native systemd settings got everything to behave normally. Just set the logind.conf idle action to ignore and start xautolock with your window manager, with an idle action of "systemctl suspend"
