Hello everyone,
I have a weird problem. Here is the thing :
- firefox is displaying very big fonts
- other gtk apps are fine and following the setting in lxappearance.
PcmanFM :
lxappearence :
Don't you think it's too much 28 ?
- chromium is fine
- the problem is not within firefox :
- fresh new profile shows same problem
- using jumanji shows same problem
Example in jumanji :
- problem is not only the size of the font in the menus, but also the buttons and text fields inside webpages
- I used to be able to fix this by using the Theme fonts and size changer addon for firefox, but now it doesn't work for GNU/Linux ![]()
And it was weird because just firing up the addon fixed the font size to 12.
I don't manage to pinpoint where this problem comes from. Any idea ? What else can I try ? Is there a font cache somewhere I can delete ?
Also, why do I have to set the lxappearance font to 28 ? If I put it to 12, pcmanfm, filezilla have very very small fonts, and firefox and jumanji get back normal font size. There seems to have some factor somewhere, it's weird… I'm probably missing a crucial piece of information on how all of this articulates itself.
Thanks for reading.

Yes, too much, should be around 12.
Presumably you have a 4k-ish screen, so see HiDPI wiki page.

Yes ! Thank you brebs ! That was it ![]()
The fix :
xrandr --dpi 96Thanks a lot! I didn't suspect such a thing. Also my screen is an old screen, no retina or high dpi so I don't know what happened... Anyway, it's fixed now, cheers ![]()
edited my previous message saying it was not that ![]()
