Please share with us the exact commands you are using to build the kernel. Which kernel from the AUR are you building?

I've tried with yaourt.
This kernel :
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/linux-mainline/ 4.5-rc1
It's for me a bit of a last chance solution to get to run my 290x (with radeon and not fglrx) at a frequency of 144Hz. Although I am far from sure that it works in 4.5.

For something like the kernel, I strongly recommend that you download the package and set up a build directory using git clone, then change to the build directory and use makepkg.

It's ok. I'm under mainline...
Unfortunately, same refresh rate issue with radeon driver

What is okay? Did you manage to build the kernel?
What is it you are trying to do? Building a custom kernel is usually done if you need to reconfigure that kernel in some way. Why are you building a kernel?
