Hotplugging devices after inserting usb Wifi doesn't work

Hello all,

After updating systemd (and I assume by implication also udev) a few days earlier a strange error start occurring. When inserting usb devices (as far as flash drives, mice and keyboards go) everything goes well. But as soon as I insert any usb Wifi adapter (Tried with both an old Belkin stick and a relatively new Asus stick with a dkms-built module) dmesg blurts a massive amount of errors and connecting any other usb devices doesn't work anymore. Udev seems to hang and then I can't shut down - systemd tries to kill everything but it happens at a snail's pace, and eventually just hangs. Downgrading to the lts kernel seems to fix the problem (not really a fix). Strangely this did not happen with a kernel update but with a systemd update. Can this be hardware related? I can't get the logs now but will post the later today. This happens with both the stock and zen kernels, and this persisted after a fresh install of Arch.

Thanks for any help in advance, I appreciate it
