[SOLVED]Pulseaudio restart required after switching headphones in plug

On a fully updated system running on an Intel NUC, whenever I plug out a headphones plug and plug it back in, no sound is audible until I restart pulseaudio.

The only thing I can extract from logs is this behavior that occurs when I disconnect the plug (at 13:18:33):

Feb 10 13:18:33 hostname rtkit-daemon[881]: Supervising 3 threads of 1 processes of 1 users.
Feb 10 13:18:33 hostname rtkit-daemon[881]: Successfully made thread 14472 of process 14462 (/usr/bin/pulseaudio) owned by '1000'
Feb 10 13:18:33 hostname rtkit-daemon[881]: Supervising 2 threads of 1 processes of 1 users.
Feb 10 13:18:07 hostname systemd[568]: Started Sound Service.

Not a horrible problem, but still a nuisance. Any ideas?

Re: [SOLVED]Pulseaudio restart required after switching headphones in plug

Disable module-switch-on-port-available it has been worked on for the pulseaudio 8.0 release but currently has a bug which makes the profile it switches away from unavailable, see https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=207868 as well

DO you think the info in https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pu … on_connect should be updated?
