I just have a quick question, trying to understand and gain a little clarity,.
following the Nvidia "Optimus wiki" (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NV … ing_nvidia ), if I understand correctly basically the
nvidia card handles all the processing and then gives the output to the intel card for display using modesetting (which is like a framebuffer, a generic catch-all module, or raw image I assume?)
Everything works fine in this setup, and have never had a problem...the wiki is excellent...the only thing that i question or don't understand is what is and why use "modesetting", why not use the intel modules for your card?
Would doing that be more efficient, faster etc? should the wiki qlarify?
thanks in advance
