Backlight control not working Thinkpad W520

The backlight control is not working on my Thinkpad W520. I am using the proprietary nVidia drivers. I have tried

video.use_native_backlight=0

and

acpi_backlight=vendor

as Kernel Params in grub. I've also checked out the other numerous posts about this problem, but none of the solutions there have solved it. Does anyone else have this problem and/or have a solution? I'm running the latest version of arch (did pacman -Syu last night).

Do you see anything below /sys/class/backlight ?
