Hi all !
Here is my hardware configuration:
PC: I have a HP laptop (Envy 15, HD Intel graphics + NVIDIA), with a single HDMI port.
I'm using Intel graphics all the time, and I have access to my nvidia card sometimes through bumblebee/optirun.
Adapter: I've bought a simple (but expensive) adapter HDMI -> VGA to connect my monitor to my laptop
Monitor: I've a simple neovo VGA monitor.
Here is my actual outputs:
I'm using GNOME, and once all connected (and monitor turned ON), I've only my laptop screen on the GNOME settings.
So I've seen to use xrandr:
$ xrandr
Screen 0: minimum 8 x 8, current 1366 x 768, maximum 32767 x 32767
eDP1 connected primary 1366x768+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 344mm x 194mm
1366x768 59.99*+ 39.94
1280x720 60.00
1024x768 60.00
1024x576 60.00
960x540 60.00
800x600 60.32 56.25
864x486 60.00
640x480 59.94
720x405 60.00
680x384 60.00
640x360 60.00
HDMI1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
VGA1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
VIRTUAL1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)And then:
$ xrandr --output HDMI1 --auto Intentionally left blank
I mean, I've no errors, no success messages, nothing. But my monitor is still black with "no signal" message.
I'm open to all ideas.

After many reboots, nothing.
Then I've booted over Windows7 or Ubuntu, also nothing.
But now it works, no reason ![]()
