[Solved] Installing pcmanfm-qt without gtk dependencies

I would like to install the Qt based version of pcmanfm pcmanfm-qt. However when I do

pacman -S pcmanfm-qt

pacman wants to install libfm and gtk2.
According to this discussion, libfm may work without gtk2. My question is, is it possible to install the git version of libfm (from the AUR), which does not need gtk and make it work with pcmanfm-qt ?
If yes, how do I tell pacman libfm-git is to be used in place of libfm ?

If it's workable I think you'd need to edit the PKGBUILDS and build the packages.

libfm-git provides libfm, so you don't need to tell pacman anything more; just build and install that before installing pcmanfm-qt. But you may still have to rebuild pcmanfm-qt if libfm-git differs too much from the stable release. You could then also try pcmanfm-qt-git (AUR).

Thanks for the quick replies.
Although I did not test it thoroughly I was able to run pcmanfm-qt after building and installing libfm-git from the AUR. I had to manually install libexif for it to work.
