The quality is awful, especially when there is more base involved or the volume is turned up more than 1/3.
It is this typical base *brrrbbrbrbrbrbrbbr* (I am sorry i do not know if there is an english word for this, in german it is "Boxen prellen")I do not remember having this problem with win10
I think some of folks here encountered a similar problem, including me, but for me it was more noticeable with headphones. For me, it disappeared after upgrading to 4.4 few days ago (have been using linux-bcm4350 4.3-1 for quite some time). I have never updated my bios yet, and have audio controller powersave enabled in tlp.
I too have no problems when using headphones, but I do not want to use them the whole time.
I freshly installed arch with the 4.4-2 Kernel but I have upgraded my Bios (1.1.7 I think) , maybe that is the problem.

On 4.5 rc0 works fine, but rc1 and rc2 sleep doesn't work at all
It comes out of sleep as soon as it goes to sleep, I'm not even sure whether it goes to sleep at all.

I received my Dell xps 13 9350 QHD i7 16Gb 512ssd the other day.
I run BIOS firmware 1.2.3 and 4.4.1-2-ARCH and I don't use the intel_agp kernel parameter.
I have the same ACPI errors but I don't seem to get the same intel gpu drm errors however.Well except for this error:
[drm:intel_dp_link_training_channel_equalization [i915]] *ERROR* 5.4 Gbps link rate without HBR2/TPS3 supportSuspend works fine except for the touchscreen.
I also have a new issue since this morning but I'm not sure what changed (if anyone has any hints, I'm still looking into it):

Hi everyone,
I have the latest bios available & finally updated my kernel to 4.4.1, before I was using one of the RCs of 4.3. I have a strange behaviour. If the laptop is connected to the AC plug and put to sleep (close the lid), I can not wake it up. I have to do a hard reboot. This problem does not appear if the laptop is not connected to the the AC. Did anyone have the same problem ?

I tried the fwts firmware test suite to detect and understand bugs in the BIOS/ACPI among others. It gives a bit more verbose explanations for the dmesg errors preventing ASPM, here are a few excerpts :
Kernel message: [ 0.190352] [Firmware Bug]: ACPI: BIOS _OSI(Linux) query ignored
ADVICE: This is not exactly a failure mode but a warning from the kernel. The
_OSI() method has implemented a match to the 'Linux' query in the DSDT and this
is redundant because the ACPI driver matches onto the Windows _OSI strings by
default.Kernel message: [ 0.208623] ACPI Exception: AE_NOT_FOUND, While evaluating Sleep

all the sleep state information. This means that the kernel does not know how to
enter the S1 sleep state, however, it should not be a problem if the S1 sleep
state isn't supported intentionally.Test 1 of 2: PCIe ASPM ACPI test.

A colleague of mine found a workaround if your Ethernet USB-C dongle isn't being recognized when plugged-in to a live system. One just needs to trigger a PCI bus rescan:
echo 1 > /sys/class/pci_bus/0000\:00/rescan
However it's not exatly 'hot-unplug' as it won't be recognized again if you dis- and reconnect it again.

Yes, I have the same issue, I'm loosing the wifi too. The connection is really unstable ! (Kernel 4.4.1, Linux-firmware 20160113.40e9ae8-1, NetworkManager 1.0.10-2)

Yeah, same kernel/firmware versions, using NetworkManager also. And I think that with 4.3 and older firmware (before firmware for brcm4350 was in arch's linux-firmware) it worked flawlessly. Does anybody with 4.5 have these problems too? I wonder if they are fixed already.

The Broadcom card in general is just a shitty card. I'd recommend buying something like http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00STV5UKW and switching out the Broadcom one. You can then also use open-source drivers!

I have no issues with my broadcom card really. So far I'm investigation a kernel regression with suspend on 4.5-rc0, if someone experiements it please report!

Exactly the same here. We are currently discussing whether this is faulty firmware (especially the ACPI), or even hardware bugs with the powerboard.

Already using brcm80211/brcmfmac which is an open-source driver.
I can't change the wifi chipset because it will void the warrantee and it's not my personal but my professional computer (aka. I don't own it).
I identified the following cause of wifi loss:
high cpu or memory usage
low wifi signal
resuming from suspend

@noirbizarre, you could try keeping the broadcom card and putting it back if you are returning for warranty. Dell allow you to open the laptop without losing your warranty.
Also, you probably want to go for the Intel 8260 instead. The 7265 is now old and not manufactured anymore.

Is anybody else getting black screens on boot? Every time I cold boot I get black screen, so I hold the power button for hard shutdown, then I boot again and it works fine.
This happens on battery or AC, and doesn't happen with suspend.
Information:
- Kernel 4.4.0
- BIOS 1.0.5
- Initramfs modules: nvme, i915, intel_agp
- Kernel parameters: pcie_aspm=force, i915.enable_rc6=7

My new 9350 came in the mail today. 2 weeks and 2 days after calling Dell, quicker than I expected.
I wonder if I should install 1.2.3. Actually I doubt if I should go through the effort to make this my primary dev-machine again. Maybe just keep it for some fooling around for a while. It just seems too flaky
@kochka Totally weird, never seen this. Looks a bit like my situation, but that was a hardware problem that didn't even let me boot.

@sender my machine is working pretty well, the only problems I have detected for now are :
- TTY > 1 issue
- Time to time boot that goes to black screen
- Touchscreen issue after suspend
- MTP issue with my Nexus 5X on USB-C but I didn't dig into it yet
I've also some software issues linked to HiDpi that make me crazy but it's not related to the hardware itself.

Same here. I set the QHD+ screen to 1920x1080 to get rid of the HiDPI annoyances. I've even tried to downgrade to a FHD-panel when the machine went RMA, but they wouldn't do that.
I just unboxed and had forgotten how beautiful this machine is! Fingers crossed for stability..

@sender For me HiDPI is ok in TTY (only 1 lol) and KDE so far. Only some GTK app are not rendering well like MySQL Workbench or Gimp (texts are ok but assets are small like shit).
I didn't want this QHD+ screen (and I don't care about touchscreen) but in France there are only 5 or 6 models with no options... If you want a 512G SSD or 16G Ram, you need to go for QHD+ screen...

Hey guys. Did you all install the .hcd broadcom firmware blob in order to use the wifi adapter?
Cause I never installed it at all and I've been using my laptop perfectly well these months. Now, messing around with the kernel debugging some issue my wifi won't come up:
[ 2.993481] usb 1-3: New USB device found, idVendor=0a5c, idProduct=6412
[ 14.982934] bluetooth hci0: Direct firmware load for brcm/BCM-0a5c-6412.hcd failed with error -2
I'll install the firmware blob, but it's super weird! Maybe the blob exists across reboots and because I booted windows on the first day I got it working so far?
Thanks
David

@zetxx Yeah I think they offer more options only for USA.
As we seems to have the same config, do you experience the same problem with TTY (>= 2) I have shown 5 posts ago ?
@davidgf Are you talking about Wifi or Bluetooth ? The firmware blob is needed for Bluetooth, not Wifi.
EDIT: I've found how to repair my TTYx, by forcing to respawn the getty
systemctl stop getty@ttyx.service
Don't know still why there are fucked up at boot...

Oh I see... Bluetooth worked well without the blob anyway.
So it seems my wifi died, not workinig at all. I don't really know what to check. The brcm modules don;t get loaded automatically and even if I load them it won't work. lsubs says:
